Al Faisaliah Hotel wins WTA award

Dubai, May 7, 2009

Al Faisaliah Hotel, a Rosewood hotel, was named Saudi Arabia’s Leading Business Hotel at the World Travel Awards, also known as the travel industry Oscars.

Eight nominees were shortlisted in the category of Saudi Arabia’s Leading Business Hotel and more than 170,000 travel professionals around the world cast votes to crown the title upon Al Faisaliah Hotel, said a hotel official.

“That these awards are voted for by our travel industry colleagues who understand the true nature of the hospitality sector makes it even more rewarding,”  said Costas S Gavriel, director of Sales and Marketing for Al Faisaliah Hotel.

Al Faisaliah Hotel was named Saudi Arabia’s Leading Business Hotel in 2008 and previously held Saudi Arabia’s Leading Hotel for four consecutive years, this year passing on the title to sister property Rosewood Corniche in Jeddah.

The hotel’s multi-million-dollar expansion is scheduled to open in the middle of 2010, including a new wing of 106 ultra luxury rooms and suites, a brand new Mediterranean dining restaurant, and a ladies-only spa with more than 12 treatment rooms.-TradeArabia News Service
