Wataniya steps up summer flights to Beirut

Kuwait, May 5, 2009

Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s new premium service airline, has announced the expansion of its scheduled flights to Beirut to cater to the growth in demand for flights to Lebanon during the busy summer period.

After its recent decision to add Amman to its list of popular destinations from early June, the airline will be offering double daily flights to Beirut starting June 1 from the exclusive Sheikh Saad general aviation terminal to help alleviate the rush for seats to Lebanon.

Tickets for both flights are available for sale immediately.

“Beirut is an important pillar in our strategy of providing preferred destinations along with convenient schedules and a premium service to our guests,” said Abdulsalam Al Bahar, chairman and managing director of Wataniya Airways.

“This expansion of our network and services will help meet increased demand for both first class and premium economy seats to popular destinations during the peak summer period,” he explained.

Wataniya Airways’ collaboration with its general sales agent in Lebanon, Global Holidays – a division of Planet Group, was essential in taking the decision to handle the additional flights.

“This has been a wonderful partnership and we have received such amazing reviews from guests who have flown this route,” said George Moussa, Planet Group chairman.

“Adding more flights is a commitment to the relationship we have built up and underscores the success of our delivery of what we term ‘The Wataniya Airways Difference’,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
