VistaJet unveils big ME expansion plans

Dubai, March 15, 2009

VistaJet, the fastest growing private aviation company with the largest wholly-owned commercial fleet outside the Americas, said a significant proportion of its $1.2 billion order of Bombardier aircraft is being assigned to the Middle East.

The company expects the Middle East to be one of its fastest growth markets and has appointed Dr Elias Maroun as executive vice president sales and marketing, Middle East.

Elias will be responsible for spearheading VistaJet’s commercial growth in the region. Prior to joining VistaJet, Elias was group director, private aircraft for NetJets in the Middle East.

Elias has a proven marketing and sales track record in the aviation and automotive industries as well as a background in luxury brands.

VistaJet said the time was right to further strengthen the Middle East market and has set a target to achieve market growth of 10 per cent in the next three years.

Thomas Flohr, chairman and founder of VistaJet commented, said, "Elias is a senior industry figure and brings a wealth of regional knowledge. I am delighted to welcome him to the management team."

The Middle East private aviation market has untapped potential and VistaJet’s unique business model is attracting attention.

"Customers are looking for private aviation ownership, but without having the ongoing costs associated with owning their own aircraft," Flohr added.

VistaJet is a leader in the global charter business and offers customers a unique opportunity to fly in new Bombardier aircraft, at highly competitive market rates.

VistaJet’s large scale fleet, including Learjet 40 XR, Learjet 60 XR, Learjet 85, Challenger 605, Challenger 850 and Global Express XRS, gives unique cost benefits which are passed directly to customers who receive superior flight solutions matched to individual flight profiles.

VistaJet recently announced a new Program offering which gives customers another way to access the VistaJet fleet with guaranteed availability.

For the first time, customers now benefit, both operationally and financially, from the largest service area in business aviation, encompassing Europe, Middle East and Asia.

A Program customer can fly within, or between any of these regions for fixed hourly costs, only paying for the time they fly, because there are no positioning costs.

VistaJet is continuing to take delivery of new aircraft from Bombardier and will also continue to make further management appointments in due course.-TradeArabia News Service
