Al Diar Siji Hotel gets exclusive membership
Abu Dhabi, February 16, 2009
The five-star Al Diar Siji Hotel in Fujairah, managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels, has received membership of the Special Hotels of the World (SHW).
SHW is a niche alliance operated by the Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) for first class, independent hotels. Al Diar Siji will be featured in this year’s issue of GHO – Corporate Collection.
“Since inception, Al Diar Siji Hotel has positioned itself as a business hotel and our main markets are the business and corporate clients from within the UAE, GCC and some European countries. Now that we have become a member of Special Hotels of the World, we hope to further strengthen our presence in this market segment,” said Fouad Melhem, the hotel’s general manager.
Al Diar Siji Hotel features 90 rooms and 19 suites. All standard rooms have a dining area and standard services and amenities include the latest telephone system, high speed broadband internet access, interactive TV, high definition LCD TV, in-room safe, mini bar and heavenly beds with duvet covers.
SHW offers sales and marketing opportunities for unique, interesting, city centre and resort properties that offer facilities and services in the premium sector of the hospitality marketplace. Membership of SHW is by invitation only and is limited to exceptional hotels within recognised niche lifestyle markets. All members are unified in their unique or ‘special’ offering for guests.
“Being recognized as a member of SHW will further inspire us in our commitment on taking hospitality to a higher level with excellent facilities & amenities that come together with personalized services from our efficiently trained staff,” Melhem added.
Last year, Al Diar Siji Hotel has joined the elite list of five-star hotels in the GCC with Hazard Analysis & Control Point System certification after a series of upgrades in its food and beverages services, facilities and procedures. The hotel also succeeded in renewing its BS EN ISO 9001-2000 certification, which was first granted to the hotel in 2005.
SHW’s programmes and sales and marketing services allow hotels to build their own ‘à la carte’ membership programme to suit their objectives and budget. Thus, members are able to choose and purchase only the services they require, thus ensuring that membership fees are kept to a minimum and are focused on individual needs. Sales and marketing initiatives that members are able to take advantage of include: trade shows, e-marketing, business travel consortia sales, public relations, a private label GDS chain code and sales blitzes. – TradeArabia News Service
