The Festival Centre at Dubai Festival City witnessed a stampede of sorts as thousands of Tamer Hosny fans gathered to watch and hear the renowned singer perform.

Donning the Palestinian scarf as a mark of solidarity with the people of Gaza, the singer performed some of his best hits during the four-hour concert with the opening act performed by DJ Cowboy.

The concert was held as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).

After the concert, Zahrat Al Khaleej, a popular Arabic magazine, handed Tamer the award for the Best Arabic Singer 2008.-TradeArabia News Service
