NetJets places new $1.9bn order with Gulfstream

Dubai, October 13, 2008

NetJets, a US-based private jet operator, has signed a new Dh6.9 billion ($1.9 billion) deal with Gulfstream, a report said.

In a move to expand its fleet, NetJets has placed an order for 40 new Gulfstream aircraft. Under the deal, four G450s and four G550s are to be delivered each year from 2012 through 2016, according to a report in Transportation Business Journal.

A $250 million long-term maintenance support agreement is also part of the new deal.

The two companies had signed an agreement in 2006, under which Gulfstream delivers four 450s and four 550s each year through 2011 to NetJets.
