SriLankan begins online check-in

Dubai, October 9, 2008

SriLankan Airlines has started On-Line Check-In (OLCI) system throughout its route network, as part of its efforts to increase passenger convenience, a report said.

The airline has launched OLCI in Dubai and other stations including New Delhi, Madras, Singapore, Hyderabad, Hong Kong, Bangalore and Beijing after it introduced its hub in Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport, last year, according to the Gulf News report.

OLCI allows passengers to check themselves in through the Internet, even before going to the airport.

'Our target is to provide this facility in every one of our 41 destinations as quickly as possible, so that all our passengers can enjoy a higher level of convenience,' said Capt Milinda Ratnayake, head of service delivery.
