Jazeera Airways starts Qatar service
Kuwait, October 9, 2008
Kuwait and Dubai based Jazeera Airways will begin flying to Qatar’s capital – Doha from October 30.
It is the first low fare carrier to operate non-stop flights between Kuwait and Doha, and will fly six times weekly.
It is offering travellers from Qatar connections to Damascus, Beirut, Alexandria and Istanbul. Moreover, travellers flying in Jazeera Plus (J+) will be permitted priority lounge access at Doha International Airport, said an official.
'Doha is one of the Middle East’s power-houses in terms of its business and economic activities, with hundreds of Kuwait’s business people travelling to the Qatari capital everyday,' said Jazeera Airways’ chairman and CEO, Marwan Boodai.
'By offering a high-frequency service with convenient flight timings, in addition to our leather seating, region-leading on time performance and low fares, we are looking forward to welcoming even more business and leisure travellers aboard.'
The airline is poised for future growth with the delivery of the remaining Airbus A320s from the airline’s firm order at Le Bourget Paris Air Show in 2007. Once all of the aircraft are delivered by 2014, Jazeera Airways will become the largest Airbus A320 operator in the Middle East, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
