Festival Centre, the heart of Dubai Festival City and one of the region’s most exciting retail, dining and leisure destinations, kicked off its first DSS weekend showcasing an array of staged shows, animated children activities and entertainment for family. 

Shoppers were delighted to discover the great discounts and offers available at Festival Centre. With every Dh200 ($52) spent in any of Festival Centre’s 350 shops, shoppers get one raffle coupon which qualifies them for the weekly draw.

Exciting festivities and major staged events are taking place at Festival Centre over the entire Dubai Summer Surprises 2008. The troupes of international artists flown in especially for Festivals Centre’s summer programmes entertain the guests daily between 5pm and 10pm.

Exclusive to Festival Centre are the series of children fashion shows taking place daily from July 3 to 9. The seven days dedicated to the little ones will showcase the summer collections of the leading children fashion brands.

In addition, the fans of Sesame Street will have a chance to get up close and personal with their favourite characters from July 21 to 27 as the Sesame Street show will take over the main stage.

The captivating and colourful Batacdua Parade will take place once a day, all artists with their musical instruments will roam throughout the Centre and will perform an indoor street parade entertaining the crowds with their impressive costumes and outgoing personalities.
