Gulf Air official carrier for HGSF
Manama, November 13, 2007
Gulf Air has been named the Official Carrier for the Middle East: Homeland and Global Security Forum (HGSF).
The event will be held from November 19 to 21, 2007, under the patronage of Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The event is hosted by the Ministry of Interior, Bahrain, in collaboration with the Crans Montana Forum, as part of the country’s efforts to enhance performance and benefit from international expertise in the increasingly vital domains of local and regional security, said an official spokesman.
The HGSF is expected to draw around 500 international participants, including Ministers, Security experts, Government Consultants, Parliamentarians, Human Rights Activists, CEOs and board members from leading international companies, scholars and academics, and other experts; all for the sake of developing a multidisciplinary vision of homeland security that is discerning beyond a military perspective.
“The HGS Forum is an integral component in securing Bahrain’s continued stability, and in ensuring the welfare of the international community at large. We are deeply appreciative to companies such as Gulf Air, who come forward to support such an endeavour, thereby contributing to its success; and to elevating the Kingdom’s global reputation,” said chief of Public Security, Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr Abdullateef bin Rashid Al Zayani.
“We are glad that Bahrain is hosting such a globally influential Forum and, as the national carrier of the Kingdom we are proud to be the official carrier to the event,” says Gulf Air general manager, Bahrain, Abdulmalik Al Saei. – TradeArabia News Service
