Danzaz signs Airbus deal

Danzas AEI Emirates and Airbus have signed a three-year contract that will see the former provide logistics services to Airbus Middle East.

Danzaz is leading provider of integrated logistics services.

The contract involves Danzas managing the spare parts centre built by Airbus in Dubai, which will support the leading aircraft manufacturer's rapid expansion in the Middle East region.

The spares centre, built on a 5,100 sqm site and located in the Dubai Airport Free Zone, will stock parts made by Airbus and major-equipment suppliers.

Airbus' worldwide support network headquartered in Hamburg already includes spares centers in Beijing and Ashburn/Washington DC as well as warehouses in Shanghai, Frankfurt and Singapore.

The contract signing was held recently in Dubai between Philippe Karam (International Procurement Manager Transport & Logistics, Airbus), Joerg Helmerichs (Director AirbusSpares Support and Services, Airbus Middle East), Bernard Pain (Lead Buyer Transport & Logistics, EADS), Frank Kotter (Director Stores Operations, Airbus), Armin Auer (Senior Director Service Centres, Airbus), Holger Lorenzen (General Manager, Metroplan Engineering GmbH) and Enver Moretti (CEO/President EMA - DHL Global Forwarding).Trade Arabia News Service
