B&G Hotels and Resorts' Calimera Habiba Beach Resort has won the second place at the fourth annual Mena Travel Awards held recently in Dubai.

The hotel won the award in the ‘Best New Five-star Hotel in the Year 2006’ category.

The award recognises Calimera Habiba’s premium beachside location, modern amenities and experienced hotel staff.

The resort, located in Marsa Alam, is one of eight hotels and resorts in Egypt managed by B&G, which operates in association with its sister company, Balbaa Construction and Consultancy, to provide complete hotel development services.

The Dh1.2 billion venture that is being developed by Rakeen, one of the region’s most dynamic project development companies, will encompass a four-star hotel, time-share apartments, freehold residential apartments and commercial amenities, offering investors 360 degree sea views and open private beach fronts.

B&G Hotels and Resorts will also be managing 50 time-share apartments that are currently under construction on The Palm Jumeirah.
