RAK Petroleum board member resigns

RAK Petroleum, an Oslo-listed oil and gas investment company, has announced that Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad has resigned from its board of directors effective immediately, following his appointment as the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation.
"RAK Petroleum has greatly benefited from Ambassador Khalilzad's contributions over many years, drawing from his decades of success in diplomacy and commanding knowledge of geopolitical affairs. We are grateful for his good counsel, dedication and service and wish him great success in his new role with the US Government," said Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani, executive chairman of RAK Petroleum.
Following Ambassador Khalilzad's departure, the board consists of five members.
RAK Petroleum's principal holdings are 40.45 percent of DNO ASA and 33.33 percent of Foxtrot International LDC held through Mondoil Enterprises. -TradeArabia News Service
