Dewa concludes first level of Future Engineer summer camp

DUBAI, September 7, 2018

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has successfully concluded the first level of the 5th Future Engineer summer camp.

The camp, which included more than 60 training hours of a comprehensive and intensive study plan, was organised for employees’ children between 12 and 15 years of age at the Reading Tent in Zabeel Park in Dubai.

The second level of the camp will begin this December after which the participants will graduate. This supports the utiliy's vision to become a sustainable, innovative world-class utility, and its efforts to foster creativity and innovation within the community.

Students participating in the first level of the programme acquired many technical skills, which contributed to expanding their perceptions and enhancing their creativities.

They also learnt about the basic principles in electrical engineering, basics of robotics, how to build and develop smartphone programmes and applications, and other scientific and practical applications that establish the love of science and engineering in young people, it added.
