Dubai Properties joins hands with Emgas

DUBAI, June 7, 2017

Dubai Properties, a leading real estate master developer and asset manager known for renowned destinations across the emirate, has partnered with Emirates Gas (Emgas) to provide residents in its communities with access to safer cooking-gas by deploying state-of-the-art LPG composite cylinders.

Al Khail Gate will be the first community to benefit from this initiative, which is expected to enhance safety and reduce risks, said the developer in its statement.

The new lightweight composite cylinders are considerably safer than the traditional metal cylinders and comprise helically-woven fibres, combined with resin, making them uniquely secure. Labelled as ‘explosion-proof’, the cylinders can withstand a pressure burst two times over regular metal cylinders.

Dubai Properties is implementing the system in support of Dubai Civil Defence’s ‘Home Safety Package’ launched in October last year, it added.

Arif Mubarak, the chief executive at Dubai Properties’ asset management arm, said: "We are firmly committed to the safety and security of residents and tenants across our portfolio of communities."

"The upgrade will include an LPG leak detection system connected to a new fire alarm technology and create a resilient infrastructure that prevents mishaps. An LPG piping network will further enhance the pioneering system that is automated, environment-friendly and cost-effective," noted Mubarak.

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, the chief executive of Enoc Group, said: "We place the utmost importance on environment, health and safety standards, especially when it comes to our customers. As a government-owned entity, we strive to apply international best practices to ensure the safety of individuals, communities and the environment."

"Our products and services are tailored to the requirements of the various industries that propel Dubai’s economic growth. We are pleased with our recent collaboration with Dubai Properties and the Dubai Civil Defence that will ensure the safety of our communities," stated Al Falasi.

Emgas, as the main supplier of the LPG composite cylinders, is also responsible for all the related installation across Dubai Properties’ communities, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
