Enoc in smart gas station technology tieup
DUBAI, May 8, 2017
Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) has partnered with Blue Rhine Technologies, a digital signage specialist, on the first of a series of ‘smart’ gas stations planned across the Emirates that will greatly enhance the customer experience.
In the UAE’s first ever smart gas station, Blue Rhine Technology worked closely with Enoc on the design, planning and implementation of an array of 36 LED screens around the station.
The screens are unique and are used to display a mix of information for drivers that include weather and traffic updates, as well as tailored advertising content to customers. From the moment visitors arrive to the moment they leave, the screens enhance the retail journey and provide an engaging experience 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
“We’re supplying all the LED screens within the gas station that includes the four LED screens each on eight of the forecourt columns by the dispensers,” said John Joseph, sales director at Blue Rhine Technologies.
“Additionally, Enoc requested a four sq-m screen at the entrance to the Zoom convenience store and inside there’s also a 50cm-high LED curved screen that runs around the whole length of the store. As per Enoc’s request, we also have installed a large LED screen in the Auto Pro waiting room area. This means that Enoc’s customers are always entertained or informed in the most technologically advanced way possible.”
The project has been the result of long and close cooperation between the two entities. Working intensively with Enoc’s project team in order to innovate and constantly update its customer offering, Blue Rhine Technologies tailored a digital signage solutions package to fit an environment that experiences large retail footfall and provides one of the most state-of-the-art customer experiences.
Joseph admitted that this was the firm’s first petrol station project, and represents a departure from its usual retail or mall-focused operations, but prides itself on providing tailored digital signage solutions, whatever the client sector. “Blue Rhine Technologies’ screens can be used across many different industries.
Some of the more typical solutions are in retail environments or any other high traffic public location with high footfall and we partner with mall owners, retailers and entertainment companies not only for digital displays but for interactive solutions and customised content.
“We are also receiving interest from airports, hospitals and other large scale public spaces,” he says.
He suggests that these unique smart solutions will become the norm in the next few years and predicts that we’re only seeing the tip of the digital signage iceberg.
“Everyone wants to create a unique shopping or visitor experience for a range of customers. In the future, we will see more customised experiences and more immersive, augmented reality solutions to help build brand loyalty and memorable customer journeys.” – TradeArabia News Service
