Iran’s South Pars opens 5 new phases

Iran’s South Pars Gas Field has inaugurated five new phases (17 to 21) which were completed at a cost of $20 billion, a report said.
"Our production has reached 575 million cubic meters per day," Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, who inaugurated the projects, was quoted as saying in the Iran Daily report.
Iran's total gas production is 885 million cu m per day, the report said.
"At the height of sanctions, with the help of Iranian engineers and workers, we succeeded in developing 11 phases of South Pars," noted Oil Minister Bijan Namadar Zanganeh, adding that each of the new projects produces 28 million cu m per day.
