Iran plans new-style tenders for oil projects
TEHRAN, December 7, 2016
Iran plans to introduce its first new-style tender in January to develop oil and gas fields since the lifting of sanctions, managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) was quoted as saying in a report.
Ali Kardor added the deadline for submission of pre-qualification documents has been extended until December 10, reported Iran Daily.
A total of 50 international oil companies have so far submitted their documents for the tender, he noted.
"We will assess the documents for a month and after that, probably after January, the first oil tender will be held ... for South Azadegan Oilfield," Kardor said.
