Gas unit boosts Iran power capacity to $75,000MW

TEHRAN, August 16, 2016

Iran's electricity generating capacity reached 75,365 megawatts (MW) following the connection of the gas unit of a natural gas-fuelled power plant in the southern province of Kerman to the national grid, a report said.

The overall nominal capacity of gas units nationwide to generate electricity has also reached 26,594 MW, after the commissioning of the gas unit of Gol Gohar Power Plant, reported Iran Daily News, citing Tasnim News Agency.
