Oman’s Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) has executed a number of strategic water and electricity projects in Muscat Governorate during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, a report said.

The projects, completed in a record 24 hours, include connecting the new 1,600-mm water transmission pipeline with the Al Amerat water pumping station, added the Oman Observer report.

PAEW also increased the electricity capacity at the Wadi Adai pumping station.

Other works included valve maintenance at the main water transmission network which feeds the wilayats of Muscat, Al Amerat, Muttrah and Ruwi district, the report said.
