Almajdouie Logistics wins two Scata awards
DUBAI, April 27, 2016
Almajdouie Logistics Company (MLC), asset-owned company, operating with personal equipment, supporting different projects throughout the GCC region, took home two awards at the Supply Chain & Transport Awards (Scata).
MLC won the 2016 ‘Logistics Project of the Year’ award for overcoming challenges in moving oversized break-bulk cargo for the development of Jazan Economic City. The award honoured MLC’s continuous investments in overland transportation and in preparing staff for the future. MLC raised the benchmark for excellence by using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), a niche solution under the Oracle Value Chain Execution umbrella.
MLC was recognised for supporting EPC contractors, providing solutions for customs clearance, general cargo, containerised cargo, heavy cargo, performing abnormal and critical transportation jobs for Jazan Refinery, as well as conducting barge operations to Shuqaiq Power Plant for the objective of developing Jazan Economic City.
Concurrently, Almajdouie De Rijke Logistics (MdR) raised ‘Material Handling Provider of the Year’ award, boosting reaps of their 10th anniversary. The Saudi-Dutch enterprise focuses exclusively on providing supply chain services to the polymer and petrochemical industries.
MdR was awarded for the collaborative framework that ran throughout the end-to-end supply chain process, leading the complete integration in the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up. This provided ‘visibility’ away from the traditional supply chain relationships between customers and service providers. It also helped share common goals of cost efficiency and high productivity, allowing MdR to diversify its services beyond core primary and secondary distributions, as well as integrate this framework into MdR’s own platforms.
