Al Fardan ... strategic role
Enoc appoints new GM of Emgas
DUBAI, February 11, 2016
Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) has appointed Nader Al Fardan as director, gas business, Enoc and general manager of Emirates Gas (Emgas).
In his new role, Al Fardan will spearhead Emgas management, playing a strategic role in driving the company’s expansion plans. His appointment comes at a crucial juncture for Emgas, as the company is poised to increase its global footprint, while consolidating its leadership position in the UAE market as the leading supplier of LPG and Propane, a statement said.
Al Fardan assumes his role as general manager after a successful tenure as Enoc’s director of Industrial Products Marketing, where he was instrumental in implementing the new regulations for distributing better quality diesel, which now has 10 parts per million (ppm) down from 500 ppm. In addition to being a success, the introduction of this product has environmental benefits, including lower emissions and better air quality, said the statement.
“We are pleased to welcome Nader Al Fardan in his new leadership role. He has always been an important asset to Enoc as a group and has played a key role in the implementation of regulations to ensure the distribution of ultra-low sulphur diesel. With Emgas’s strong presence that spans over four decades, I am confident that Al Fardan will be able to steer the Emgas team in realising its plans for 2016, which include aspects of growth, expansion and innovation,” said Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of Enoc Group.
A management graduate from Northwood University, US, Al Fardan has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has built his career in product marketing, and was at the forefront of introducing new products and services like the new generation valves and regulators in cylinders.
As a wholly-owned Enoc subsidiary, Emgas distributes liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) through five locations in Dubai. Since its inception in 1974, Emgas has built a customer base that includes consumers across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, South & Central Asia and Africa. -TradeArabia News Service
