Emirates Insolaire’s solar panels garner huge interest

SAO PAULO, July 16, 2015

Emirates Insolaire, a pioneer in the development of new solar technologies and a joint venture of Dubai Investments and SwissINSO Holding, said its solar glass technology has generated interest during the ongoing EnerSolar+ Brasil 2015 exhibition in Sao Paulo.

The company, which recently completed the installation of world’s first Kromatix coloured solar PV modules on a building façade in Lausanne, Switzerland as well as projects in Basel and Austria, is showcasing its latest innovations in coloured solar panels – the first-of-its-kind, which generates energy on its own.

More than 250 exhibitors from across the globe are attending EnerSolar, running till July 17.

Emirates Insolaire sees huge growth potential for its coloured solar panels, powered by the Kromatix technology amid 40 per cent year-on-year growth in the photovoltaic market globally, said a statement.

The total number of installations in solar in the world is foreseen for 2015 as 160 GW – approximately 800 million sq m of glass.

Emirates Insolaire expects sales of more than 50,000 sq m for coloured solar panels this year alone.

The company has already initiated plans to ramp up its solar glass production in excess of 1.5 million sq m per year in line with the surging demand and enquiries from GCC states, Europe, US, Singapore, South Korea and South America.

Rafi Hanbali, managing partner, said: “Emirates Insolaire has ushered in a paradigm shift in solar applications with its energy-elegant dress on buildings, bringing an important relief to our home planet, and a financial one to the energy user.

“The Kromatix solar panels can supply between 20 per cent and 60 per cent of needed energy for a building. For certain industries with large roof and façades, this can go up to 100%. The company reinforces this unique offering through exhibitions such as EnerSolar.”
