Siemens, a global powerhouse in the fields of electrification, automation and digitalisation, is showcasing its SGT5-8000H gas turbine at the of Power-Gen Middle East exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The turbine is claimed to be the world’s most powerful gas turbine with a gross power output of 400 MW.

The SGT5-8000H has an efficiency of 60.75 per cent in combined cycle operation, making it the most important component of the most efficient gas-fired power plants in the world, the company said.

Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, the UAE Minister of Energy, yesterday visited the Siemens satnd at the exhibition and was welcomed by Karim Amin, senior executive vice president, power and gas, Middle East.
