GlassPoint appoints new Oman director

Muscat, March 4, 2014

GlassPoint Solar, a leader in solar enhanced oil recovery (EOR), has appointed Tarik Hussain as the director of its Oman projects.

Hussain, who will be based in Muscat, brings a decade of engineering and project management experience in Oman, delivering some of the largest industrial and infrastructure projects in the country, said a statement.

Most recently, he served as a project manager for WorleyParsons on the $24 billion BP Khazzan project, the largest new upstream project in the Sultanate. He oversaw the design, procurement and construction of the project’s early infrastructure work and the front-end engineering design of the gas export and condensate pipeline.

Ben Bierman, chief operating officer, said: “Tarik’s track record in designing and constructing large-scale industrial projects in Oman is hard to match. His in-country knowledge and project management experience will be instrumental in delivering future GlassPoint projects safely, on schedule and on budget.” - TradeArabia News Service
