100 firms for Abu Dhabi power expo
Abu Dhabi, October 7, 2012
More than 100 exhibitors from 25 countries will showcase products and services for the regional energy sector at a power and water event opening in Abu Dhabi tomorrow (October 8).
Held in partnership with Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, Power + Water Middle East takes place until October 10 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Grundfos, a Danish advanced pump manufacturer, will spotlight its newly launched environmentally friendly 30kilowatt range of wastewater pumps designed to handle wastewater from commercial buildings, wastewater pumping stations, treatment plants and industrial applications.
Rajat Mathur, sales and business development director for the Gulf region at Grundfos, said: “As a global trendsetter in water technology, we contribute to global sustainability by pioneering technologies that improve quality of life for the people and care for the planet.”
“Our pumps have been optimised to offer efficiency of up to 84 per cent and free passage up to 160mm with the lowest levels of vibration ever witnessed on a wastewater pump.”
Going green is a common theme this year at the three-day event, as the Irish manufacturer of sustainable building products, Kingspan Group, gets set to showcase its latest product, the portable diesel container ‘Titan TruckMaster’.
Designed to be used on power and water plant construction sites, the portable fuel container can be strapped on to the back of a truck to facilitate transportation of diesel used for refueling on site, saving valuable time and money.
Other power and water industry leaders in the exhibition line-up in Abu Dhabi include Saint Gobain Pam, Arabco Group, Duktus, Fuji Electric France, Termate, DIEHL Middle East, Shield and 3Phase Design.
More than 400 senior level professionals will also look to tap into the innovative thinking behind the development of sustainable business practices across the energy sector at the Power + Water Leaders’ Forum.
The one-day forum, taking place on Tuesday, features an expert line-up of international and regional leaders.
Now in its fifth year, Power + Water Middle East 2012 is supported by the Society of Engineers – UAE, with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) confirmed as the strategic partner. – TradeArabia News Service
