Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) is on track to complete the expansion of the UAE's largest refinery in Ruwais during the first quarter of 2014, the company's chief executive said on Tuesday.

The Ruwais refinery has a capacity of 415,000 barrels per day (bpd) and expansion work is underway to more than double it.

'It is progressing on schedule with a 60 per cent completion rate,' Jasem Ali Al Sayegh, head of refining unit of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, told a conference.-Reuters
