Dubai, November 23, 2010
UK-based Speedy Hire, a major equipment rental and support service provider, said its new regional unit clinched key business deals at the recent Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec).
Speedy International Asset Services Equipment Rental (Speedy) got a warm reception to its market debut with business contracts signed at the Adipec, said its top official.
“We have been very impressed with the Adipec event as a business forum. Our stand was inundated with trade visitors and we even signed new business at the event. For a first-time attendance that is particularly impressive,” commented Andy Carter, managing director of Speedy.
Speedy, which entered the Mena market in January, signed key deals in Saudi Arabia at the show further expanding its regional network. The asset management provider already has operations in the UAE and Egypt, and is expanding into Oman and Qatar as well.
“The Middle East market still holds a lot of potential and it is imperative that we make our mark here. We aim to establish operations in all the leading markets of the region,” Carter explained.
Speedy used the show to unveil its ‘Speedy in a Box’ service to the market which is tailored to meet the needs of the oil and gas, infrastructure and defence, and construction industries.
"Speedy in a Box is a unique, bespoke asset service, specially designed for projects in remote locations, making it an ideal solution for many of the region’s desert-based developments," he added.
The Speedy in a Box portable unit provides a one-stop-shop for site services, a managed supply chain that benefits from Speedy systems and processes, health and safety controls, and security of assets, all delivered through an on-site facility.-TradeArabia News Service
