Bapco highlights bitumen outlook

Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) highlighted the future outlook of bitumen business in the Gulf region at a major conference in Dubai.
The company took part in the First Middle East Bitumen Conference which was held under the theme of 'New Frontiers and Challenges in the Road Ahead for Middle East, Africa & South Asia'.
It was attended by 150 participants from more than 25 countries.
Bapco was represented by petroleum products sales department co-ordinator Mohamed Sa'ad Al Howaihi.
Al Howaihi delivered a presentation in which he discussed current and future bitumen business in Bahrain domestically, regionally and globally.
He also reviewed Bahrain's oil history, bitumen quality in Bapco, local and global prices and supply and demand.
Bapco's presentation focused on the future outlook of bitumen business in the Gulf region, sales and factors impacting bitumen supply and demand, and Bapco's refinery activities.
The presentation reviewed the various certificates and awards won by Bapco in quality assurance, environment, industrial security and safety, vocational health and others.
Bapco's participation in the bitumen conference is in line with the directives of Oil and Gas Affairs Minister, National Oil and Gas Authority chairman and Bapco chairman Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, which call for enhancing Bapco's presence at global activities and forums in order to enable the company to cope with latest developments and trends in oil industry and consolidate its prominent status at regional and global scales. – TradeArabia News Service
