Saudi expo closes with record participation

Saudi Oil & Gas 2010, a B2B networking trade exhibition, which concluded recently, has registered new record participation from local and international industry players, said the organisers.
The event, which ran from January 17 to 20 at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre, witnessed more than 4500 qualified trade visitors and around 70 exhibitors from China, Germany, UK, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE and Iran.
"We have received tremendous response from leading figures in the world of oil and gas,” said Mohammed Al Hussaini, deputy general manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company.
“The high-level attendance from both exhibitors and visitors from all over the world manifests the continuing confidence of business organisations and investors in the long-term potential of Saudi Arabia as a key market and a prime investment destination,” he added.
“We also witnessed a remarkably strong participation from Saudi companies, which is a very good indication of the excellent condition of the local business environment,” Al Hussaini continued.
“Moreover, the successful conclusion of Saudi Oil & Gas 2010 once again underlines the critical importance of a dedicated networking and communications channel that will support the continued growth and development of the oil and gas sector in Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region."
The successful four-day run of the trade fair also facilitated millions of Saudi rials worth of new projects and business deals in Saudi Arabia, he added.
The exhibition also hosted a number of workshops, seminars and other complementary programmes that focused on a range of technical issues related to exploration, production, refining, drilling, pipes and fittings among others. – TradeArabia News Service
