Adnoc ups Murban crude to $52.15/bbl

Abu Dhabi, May 4, 2009

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) said on Monday it has raised the April retroactive selling price for its flagship Murban crude by $4.6 a barrel versus March to $52.15 a barrel.

The Murban price, set above $50 a barrel for the first time since last November, was at a premium of $2.05 a barrel to the April average for Dubai, compared to a $1.96 premium for March.

Adnoc set the OSPs for Lower Zakum at the same price as Murban and raised Umm Shaif to $51.50, while Upper Zakum was increased to $50.05.

Traders had expected the differentials to improve in April after Adnoc's main crude grades fetched premiums in the spot market last month.

Adnoc, the main oil producer for Opec member the UAE, said last week it would impose in June the deepest curbs on crude oil supplies to Asia since the country began output cuts late last year.-Reuters
