The UAE will join the  World Energy Council, with the Ministerial Service Council giving the go ahead, a report said.

The Council also decided to go ahead with a federal draft law on monitoring trade in precious stones, according to the Emirates Business report.

Among the other matters discussed were reports by the State Audit Institution on final accounts and general budget of a number of federal bodies and a study on human resources' diploma in ministries and federal bodies.
