Acteon and Fal International have signed a joint venture establishing a Qatari limited liability company Team Energy Resources Middle East.

The new company will follow the operational lead of Team Energy Resources Ltd, an Acteon company, which is based in the UK.

The company will join its UK counterpart in providing key personnel to the global offshore oil and gas market, and will facilitate cross-selling of services and provide much broader solutions, particularly in the fields of maintenance, production and drilling, said an official spokesman.

The joint venture follows the merger of Aquatic Engineering & Construction’s manpower division (previously sponsored by Fal International) with Team Energy as a consequence of Aquatic’s takeover by Acteon in 2006.

“The Doha office provides offshore production personnel and has vast experience of the logistics involved in providing work crews, whereas Team in the UK focuses on drilling personnel and supervisors. The Doha office has already taken advantage of its new resources in providing personnel for a Qatari drilling contractor,” said general manager, Team Energy Resources, George Highmoor.
