Amman, March 30, 2008

A joint venture of Salam International Transport and Trading Co and Al Jaffali Group will set up a tank farm in Port of Aqaba.

The tank farm will have a capacity of 50,000 tonnes to store chemicals, liquids and other oil products.

Salam International is a leading provider of transportation and trade services, while Al Jaffali is part of Sheikh Khalid Al-Jaffali Group.

A piece of land has already been selected for the project at a prime location in the southern area of Port of Aqaba, near the chemicals terminal and crude tankers, said a report.

This project is being built at a cost of JD20 million ($28.21 million) and initial works have already started. The farm will be operational before the end of this year, the statement said.  –TradeArabia News Service
