Audi opens world’s largest standalone showroom
DUBAI, April 18, 2016
The world’s largest stand-alone Audi service center has been inaugurated in Dubai, UAE offering decreased lead times, expert staff and state of the art equipment.
Al Nabooda Automobiles, the sole distributor of Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates hosted a VIP collection of government officials, dignitaries and loyal customers at the new Dh140million ($38.1 million) service facility, located in Al Quoz near interchange four of Sheikh Zayed Road.
The service center is the latest project to be completed within Al Nabooda Automobiles’ Dh900million investment programme to expand and enhance operations in the UAE.
Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda, chairman of Al Nabooda Group of Companies said: “This is a landmark moment for Al Nabooda Automobiles. When we built the world’s largest new car Audi showroom, we said that a service center to support the facility would have to be the very best standard bearer in quality and size. We have delivered on that promise today and Audi customers can expect to receive a new level of service.”
Providing a premium standard in customer service and vehicle care, the three-level workshop sits on an 11,000-sq-m plot with a total built up area of 31,000 sq m and includes an expansive work shop, contemporary lounge, 400 parking spaces and a closed roof mezzanine level.
With the capacity to service 170 cars per day, the center boasts a spacious work shop floor staffed by a large team of experienced technicians and automotive experts, and provides 68 state-of-the-art Audi work stations with an additional 16 direct dialogue reception lifts, five quality check lifts, two wheel alignment units and two smart repair bays.
K Rajaram, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles said: “Dubai has a new world record with the largest Audi Service Center, which stands as a testament of our ongoing dedication to customer after-sales care.
“The facility has been fitted with some of the most advanced servicing equipment operated by a team of highly trained individuals; ensuring customers have access to faster and more efficient car maintenance options.”
In a bid to make the facility more environmentally friendly, a water recycling system has been introduced to the car wash process.
The two fully automatic roll over car wash stations will recycle and re-use more than 50 per cent of the water used when cleaning the vehicle, saving up to 3.5 million litres a year.
Additionally, photo voltaic panels are to be fitted on the roof which will allow the center to produce 0.8MW of renewable electricity.
The new service center will also feature the ‘Twin Service‘, an initiative that stations two technicians at a single work bay – doubling output and decreasing lead times. – TradeArabia News Service
