GAC Motor unveils second-gen models at Dubai show
DUBAI, November 12, 2015
Chinese automaker GAC Motor has unveiled its second generation automobiles GS4, GS5 Super, GA6, and also the all-new 1.5 tonne engine at the ongoing Dubai International Motor Show 2015.
Chinese Ambassador to UAE Chang Hua; Consul General of China in Dubai Li Lingbing; and chief executive officer of Gargash Enterprises Samir Gargash joined general manager of GAC Motor Wu Song and more than 100 journalists at GAC Motor's booth and witnessed the release of GS4 in the Middle East.
GS4 has been a huge success in the Chinese market since it was first released in April as a total of 21,000 GS4s were sold in October.
The second generation models displayed by the automaker on the first day of the show in Dubai has made strong impressions, with critics praising the model's superior performance in safety, quality and dynamic design that has overthrown the image of past Chinese automobiles.
"GAC Motor's second generation products not only abide by the highest quality and safety standards, but also achieved technological breakthroughs that can represent GAC Motor's research and development capabilities while demonstrating confidence in the global market," said Song.
GAC Motor has established a comprehensive global supply chain of international standardised accessories and components that guarantees quality and marketing networks to provide the most convenient and efficient assistance.
As of now, GAC Motor has dealer and service centres in eight Middle East countries and the sales in Kuwait has grown 300 per cent in last year.
With a head start in Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia, GAC Motor's three-phase plan will gradually expand to Europe and North America to become a strong and global Chinese brand that targets mid to high-end markets.
GAC Motor also seeks to strengthen its position as the best Chinese automaker and release 20 to 30 models in the next five years while achieving production capacity of 350,000 by 2016, 500,000 by 2017 and one million by 2020. - TradeArabia News Service
