French automaker Renault sold a record 10,656 units across the GCC from January to August, marking an increase of 33 per cent as against the corresponding period of 2013, a report said.

Renault’s Duster, Fluence, Safrane and electric Twizy were among the top models that drove sales, added the report in The Peninsula, which cited a press release issued by the automobile manufacturer.

Renault’s Qatar sales were up 75 percent, Dubai 33 percent and Abu Dhabi 29 percent, the report said.

In Saudi Arabia, sales increased by 44 percent, while in Lebanon, Renault acquired about 6 per cent of the market share, according to the report.
