One of the most anticipated new car models of the year has arrived in the Middle East, and customers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will be the first to get behind the wheel of the next generation Beetle.

The region’s first shipment of the next generation Beetle has been delivered to the Al Nabooda Automobiles showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah, said a statement.

“More than 21 million Beetles have been manufactured since the original design in the 1930s, so it is no understatement to say that the model is one of the most successful in the international automotive industry,” said Thierry Seys, general manager, Al Nabooda Automobiles, Volkswagen.

“We have been inundated with bookings since we announced its arrival earlier this year and we know our customers have a deep affection and admiration for the car, which has truly stood the test of time.  The new generation of the Beetle has a more masculine design thanks to its 2.0L turbo and 155 kW/210 hp engine,” he said.
