Saptco, French firm set to win Riyadh bus deal

Saudi Public Transport Company (Saptco) and France's Group RATP subsidiary RATP Dev are expected to win a contract to operate a bus network in Riyadh.

The Saudi Arabia High Commission of Public Transportation project has recommended awarding of the contract to the companies, a report said.

This decision is subject to approvals by King Abdullah and the final decision will be issued in a few weeks, it said.

RATP Dev is the RATP Group subsidiary established in 2002 to export the group’s operations and maintenance know-how in France and internationally outside its historic remit. RATP Dev is present in 12 countries across four continents (Algeria, Brazil, China, France, India, Italy, Morocco, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, the UK and the US).  - TradeArabia News Service
