Cadillac sales up 14pc in Middle East

Dubai, June 4, 2013

Cadillac has reported a 14 per cent rise in sales in the Middle East region in May, as dealers recorded it as their best month so far this year.

According to the General Motors' luxury division, sales continue to be driven by the 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan, the Cadillac ATS, and the Escalade, its luxury SUV.

Sales of both the XTS and ATS were up 37 per cent and 44 per cent month-on-month respectively. Sales of the Escalade climbed by 8 per cent year-on-year in May, said a statement.

The brand’s sales were boosted as figures in Saudi Arabia, Cadillac’s largest market in the Middle East, jumped 31 per cent year-on-year and sales in the UAE increased by 15 per cent compared to the same month last year.

The introduction of the all-new 2013 Cadillac sedans also marked the debut of CUE, Cadillac’s breakthrough in-vehicle user experience for control and connectivity. CUE boasts intuitive infotainment, navigation and communication commands that use capacitive touch, the technology used by many of today’s best tablets and smart phones. - TradeArabia News Service
