As many as 65 cars took part in the Classic Cars show organised as a part of the Awafi Festival 2011, currently being held in Ras Al Khaimah.

Cars of various leading brands, with some of the models dating back to 1952 and 1955, were showcased at the event.

Faisal Abdul Aziz Al Matar, general coordinator of the Awafi Festival, said the show was an important addition to the activities of Awafi 2011, especially with the showcase of a range of classic cars representing leading brands such as Mercedes, Cadillac, Rolls Royce, Land Rover, GMC, Chevrolet, Toyota and many others.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Shehhi, chairman of the car racing and equipment committee at Awafi Festival, said the participants came from the UAE and other Gulf countries.

Al Shehhi said the Exhibition Arena will host another exhibition for modified cars on January 6. The exhibition will last for one day only. – TradeArabia News Service
