Prestige Cars wins Mansory dealership
Abu Dhabi, March 31, 2010
Abu Dhabi-based Prestige Cars, a leader in selling and servicing unique luxury cars, has won an exclusive dealership deal from the Mansory Cooperation, an aftermarket tuning company that specialises in the modification of high-end automobiles.
Prestige Cars won the dealership deal from a long and very competitive list of car distributors and dealers in the country, a statement said.
“This agreement with Prestige Cars is a natural evolution of a long and growing relationship between our companies,” said Kourosh Mansory, founder, Mansory, which operates tuning workshops in the city of Brand in Bavaria, Germany, in Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
“Abu Dhabi is a very good market for our cars and we are happy to have our latest products showcased there.”
As a first joint move to energize the agreement, the three Mansory cars premiered at the 80th International Motor Show in Geneva will be brought to Abu Dhabi and showcased at Prestige Cars’ showroom.
The Mercedes G-Class Couture, Rolls Royce Ghost and for the first time, the Porsche Gran Turismo Panamera, will arrive in Abu Dhabi in April.
“This cooperation between Mansory and Prestige Cars is a result of a relationship that has existed for many years,” said Montaser Al-Kuzbari, managing partner at Prestige Cars.
“Unlike most German tuning companies, Mansory's main focus is not only on horsepower but on aesthetics,” he added.
“Through the use of new aerodynamics, wheels and luxurious interior treatments Mansory transforms already exclusive vehicles into one-of-a-kind automobiles.”
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class 55 AMG Couture, in a limited edition series of seven cars, has the entire exterior up to the lower window edge and the roof made of carbon. But Mansory used the autoclave-prepreg method to compress the carbon in a special pressure chamber that no air inclusions remain in the material.
Mansory also replaced a majority of the engine components with high performance components from the Mercedes-Benz SLR, leading to 700 horsepower instead of the serial 507 of the G55 AMG.
Mansory turned the four-door Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo into a power pack that is even more dynamic and exclusive, the statement said. The new front skirt was adapted with LED daytime running lights in combination with the striking bonnet made of carbon fibre.
Mansory’s Rolls Royce Ghost combines the most precious materials with performance, with the most striking part of the metamorphosis being a varnish in gold and blue with elements completely covered in 24 karat gold, the statement added. – TradeArabia News Service
