Jeddah, August 16, 2009
Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, the importer of BMW cars in Saudi Arabia, has secured an order to supply 132 BMW 7 Series vehicles to the kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry has selected a combination of BMW 740Li models, the long wheelbase variant, and BMW 740i models, the short wheelbase variant, to be used by the kingdom's embassies around the world.
“The BMW 7 Series, our flagship model is a recognised leader in the luxury automotive segment and will be a natural partner for the Ministry’s diplomatic mission,” stated Sheikh Mohamed Yousuf Naghi, owner of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors.
As the largest importer of BMW 7 Series in the Middle East region, Saudi Arabia continues to grow in importance as a market for the flagship model. 617 units were sold in the country between January and June 2009, an increase of 124 per cent over the same period in 2008.
