Chevrolet offers online customisation for Camaro

Dubai, April 29, 2009

Chevrolet has launched an exclusive website for Middle East consumers where they can personally configure and pre-order the new 2010 Camaro.

At camaroarabia.com, consumers can ‘design’ both the exterior and interior of the Camaro LT and SS models. The level of customisation ranges from body and trim colour, to engine size, performance parts, accessories and wheel finish, all at the click of a mouse.

Hailed as the ‘hottest 21st century sports car’, the highly anticipated 2010 Camaro is set to hit the Middle East market in July.

“The 2010 Camaro will deliver on all the promises set forth by the widely popular 2006 Camaro concept,” said Johnny Amiouni, Camaro program launch manager in the Middle East.

“It is a heritage-inspired sports car for the 21st century, combining great looks and performance; advanced technology and surprising fuel efficiency,” he added.

“By providing this service to our consumers we are giving them a chance to put a personal stamp on their Chevrolet Camaro.”

The Camaro will be offered with 3.6L V-6 engine that is standard on the LT model.  It is rated at an estimated 323 hp @ 6600 rpm and 380 Nm @ 5200 rpm of torque. The high performance SS model is powered by a higher output 6.2L V8 pumping out an estimated at 462 hp @ 6400 rpm and 609 Nm @ 4800 rpm of torque.

Both the 3.6L V-6 and the 6.2L V-8 engines can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. – TradeArabia News Service
