Porsche sales up 45pc in Abu Dhabi

Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi, a division of Ali & Sons Group, set a new sales record with 1,100 Porsche cars sold in 2008, a significant milestone for the dealer of the German luxury sports car brand.

The achieved sales mark a growth of 45 per cent from last year’s sales which totalled 757 units. The forecast for 2008 was 900 units, but the increasing demand for Porsche and the anticipation of Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi managed to achieve a sales record of 1100 units before the end of 2008, said an official spokesman.

The sales have increased across all models, with the popular Cayenne range dominating the sales.  

“We are truly proud of this achievement, thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of the team, the support of the management and the trust of our valued customers. Porsche is not just a brand to sell; it’s a passion that drives us towards success everyday. This achievement is another motivation to perform at our utmost capacity and further enhance our position as a key Porsche importer in the region,” said Porsche brand manager at Ali & Sons group Wissam Khalil.

With the achieved sales record, and despite the global economic situation, Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi forecasts 1,300 units for 2009 backed with the growing demand for Porsche and the upcoming launch of the long awaited Porsche four door, the Porsche Panamera. – TradeArabia News Service
