Exclusive ladies driving institute opens

An exclusive ladies driving institute, the first of its kind in the GCC and Middle East, has opened in Dubai.
The centre has been launched by the Emirates Driving Institute.
Chairman of the board and executive director of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) Mattar Al Tayer opened the institute. The opening ceremony was attended by the CEO of Emirates Driving Institute Amer Ahmad Balhasa, director of the office of the chairman and executive director of RTA Laila Mohammad Taher, director of marketing and corporate communication department Dr Aysha Al Busmait, director of customer service centres department Laila Hareb and a number of RTA directors.
Director general of technical affairs and operations, Emirates Driving Institute, Peter Richardson and in charge of customer service at the Emirates Driving Institute Salma Arnaoot were also present on the occasion.
The institute includes a full training yard for conducting training on parking, garage, and uphill. The institute includes halls fitted with devices and aides for holding courses and lectures, in addition to simulators enabling trainees to emulate driving on roads in changing weather conditions, and other related aspects such as crossing light signals, intersections, detours, and overtaking vehicles in front, aided by three-dimensional screens fitted to the device.
The institutes also provides a playground to entertain kids accompanying their mothers during training and a safety hall which encompasses devices that give graphic representation of potential risks on road driving.
It includes facilities purposely designed to convince trainees to use the latest methods and practices of road safety and security. – TradeArabia News Service
