Phantom Drophead Coupé unveiled in Dubai

Dubai, November 12, 2007

AGMC, the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars authorised dealer in the  UAE, has unveiled the Phantom Drophead Coupé at Burj Al Arab.

“We are pleased being able to present the car for the first time to our customers with this memorable backdrop.  It matches perfectly with everything which makes this new Rolls-Royce so unique,” said AGMC general manager Stathis I Stathis.

“Here in the Marina Garden of the Burj Al Arab. Our guests are embraced by the elements and surrounded by the finest materials, leather and wood – a fitting complement to the Phantom Drophead Coupé. We have received  considerable interest in the convertible already and have forward orders stretching well into next year,” he said.

The Phantom Drophead Coupé is a two-door, four-seater convertible combining the latest in light-weight engineering technology with the finest hand-crafted materials. It features several unique design options, such as a stainless steel bonnet and teak decking – inspired by the great J-class racing yachts, the company said in a statement.

The event at the Burj al Arab was attended by the crème -de-la crème of Dubai’s social milieu, the company said.

Renowned Polish artist Tomek Setowski created a special interpretation of the Phantom Drophead Coupé in oil on canvas. Setowski is world-famous for his metaphorical, enigmatic paintings which draw surreal parallels.
“It was an honour to celebrate the arrival of the Phantom Drophead Coupé in Dubai with such a magnificent event, and to have an artist of such high-standing international repute participate in the evening,” said Stathis.

“It is our firm belief that our partnership with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will continue to contribute to the success story of Rolls-Royce in the Middle East, and we look forward to a valuable and vibrant future together.” – TradeArabia News Service
