Bahrain to open more passport offices
Manama, May 2, 2011
Passport offices are to be opened in every governorate in Bahrain soon, Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said.
Work is in progress on the Muharraq branch while an office is already functioning in Isa Town, he told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
Feedback from the public and the ministry’s own experience have not been very positive, the minister said, responding to a parliamentary suggestion that new passports be sent through post.
Passports are normally issued within three working days, he said.-TradeArabia News Service
