Lavajet wins $83m UAE waste management deal

Lavajet has won a Dh307 million ($83.58 million) contract from Abu Dhabi’s Center of Waste Management to deliver solid waste collection, cleaning and street sweeping, and special services in the city of Abu Dhabi.

Lavajet, a member of the Batco group, is a regional leader in solid waste management services.

This in particular is a very high profile project where the emirate and the Center for Waste Management desire to develop a world-class, sustainable waste management system and make Abu Dhabi one of the world’s top 5 cleanest cities, a statement said.

“Lavajet is awarded its third contract with the Center for Waste Management-Abu Dhabi and we are very happy to win this contract and win the confidence of our client to work on this prestigious development,” stated Sarkis Azour, director of Lavajet.

“Lavajet is known for its excellent performance on other projects in the UAE such as its performance in solid waste collection, cleaning and street sweeping in the City of Al Ain and operation and maintenance of the Dhafra landfill and transfer station.”-TradeArabia News Service
