Washington, December 25, 2010

Private exporters have reported sale of 100,000 tonnes of US hard red winter wheat to Iraq for delivery during 2010/11, according to data released by the US Agriculture Department.

Besides this, exporters have also sold 150,000 tonnes of US soybeans to unknown destinations during 2010/11, the department added. The marketing year for wheat began on June 1 and soybeans on September 1.

As per rules, US exporters have to report any US or optional origin export sales activity of at least 100,000 tonnes - except 20,000 tonnes or more for soybean oil - made in one day to a single destination by the following business day.-Reuters
